Jewel is a spunky and friendly freshman here at Valencia High School. Her favorite thing about being at VHS is being able to see her friends each day. She also loves her teachers, who make school more enjoyable. According to Jewel, Valencia has enhanced her life in many ways. She has learned so many new things, such as photography. Jewel says that she never thought she would like photography so much and is grateful that Valencia provides this class.

Many people may not know that Jewel has been doing martial arts ever since she was four years old. Even though Jewel has not been surprised by anything really about VHS or her community, she still finds them happy and enjoyable places. She is especially happy when she is with her friends. Many of Jewel’s friends attend VHS and she loves that she is able to hang out with them everyday in a safe and fun place.
