Hello my name is Madison Olson and I have been a gymnast for 14 year. I started recreational gymnastics when I was two and competition gymnastics when I was 8. Now 14 years later I am training 23 hours a week as a level 10 gymnast. Gymnastics has taught me way more than just being able to do a back-flip, I’ve learned several life lessons. Getting home at almost 9 everyday has taught me the importance of not procrastinating and having good time management skills. Being the dangerous sport that it is I have broken a few bones and had to take time off to recover. Struggle to get my skills back after I recovered taught me to never give up no matter how hard or impossible things seemed. I hope to continue the love for my sport in college with a scholarship.
