I am in the Valencia varsity tennis team. I’ve been playing tennis for 3 years already and I love it. I like my coach and my teammates even though I am quiet. In my years of tennis I gained confidence and a new desire to get in shape. Coach McCall always has a way of saying powerful words to his players (that’s me) when we are facing a tough match. I remember that he told me to not think about the past and flush down the toilet. It helped me and my doubles partner a lot — we won the match! I am proud of being in tennis. Before, I did not have that on my list of accomplishments, but now… I do! Hope next year my teammates and I win CIF league final again, however, the important thing is to have fun!
